about PACK 540
Cub Scout Pack 540 in Stoneham brings skill and character development to children in grades K-5. We’re a group of great kids and awesome volunteers who have a great time exploring, learning, and having fun.
Our Pack is organized into dens based on age groups. K – Lions, 1 – Tigers, 2 – Wolves, 3 – Bears, 4 – Webelos, 5 – Arrow of Light. Each den has 6-10 boys or girls, and Den Meetings are monthly under the guidance of adult Den Leaders. Each level has distinct activities and awards that can be earned in topics from Game Design to building survival shelters outside.
We have monthly Pack Meetings where all dens come together to have fun and learn skills that reinforce the sentiments of the Scout Law: “A Scout is Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, and Reverent.”
We also have a monthly special activity. Our activities include rocket launch, sledding, hiking, and community service projects.
Family Scouting
We are a Family Scouting Unit and welcome girls, as well as the traditional boys, in separate dens at each level. All genders are welcome to join our Dens and monthly Pack Meetings, where everyone comes together.
Volunteerism
Our Pack is entirely volunteer-run. If you are interested in joining us and helping out, we are looking for Den Leaders, Treasurer, Fundraising Chair, and Secretary. All adult members are CORI’d and trained.
